Two Area Teenagers Injured In Crash Near Bible Grove

Two northeast Missouri teenagers were injured in a one-vehicle accident on Route T two miles west of Bible Grove at 6:30 a.m. July 14.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Donald Greathouse, 16, of Novinger, was westbound on Route T in a 1993 Dodge truck when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and struck a ditch embankment.

Greathouse suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital. A passenger in the truck, 16-year-old Trevor Harcrow of Kirksville suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was taken by ambulance to SCMH and then was Life-Flighted to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

Greathouse was cited for careless and imprudent driving and no seat belt. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Scotland County Sheriff's Department.
