THELMA KUTZNER KEISER (1/23/1911 - 6/10/2001)
Mary Thelma Kutzner Keiser, 90, of Normal, IL, formerly of Bloomington, IL, died June 10, 2001 at McLean Nursing Home, Normal, IL.
Thelma was born January 23, 1911, near Memphis, MO, the daughter of Walter L. and Mary H. Luman Kutzner.
She married Clemens C. Keiser on May 11, 1940, in Carthage, IL. He passed away December 18, 1991.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, George L., Paul N., and Vane Kutzner; and three sisters, Irene Manka, Faye R. See and Evon Howe, and three other brothers died at birth.
Survivors include four sisters, Helen Chambers of Memphis, MO, Grace Cameron of Clinton, IA, Dorothy Bendlage of Urbana, IL, and Estalene Kugler of Arbela, MO; and a sister-in-law, Frances Kutzner of St. Charles, MO. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge 745, Bloomington, IL. She worked as a private duty nurse from 1958-1962. Thelma was an avid wood worker and loved flowers.
Funeral services were held June 14, 2001 at the Metzler-Froelick Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL with Rev. Vernon Oakley officiating. Burial was in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, IL.
Relatives from this area who attended the funeral of their sister and aunt were Estalene Kugler of Arbela, Harley and Verlee Dauma of Memphis, and Gary See of Rutledge. Her sister, Dorothy Bendlage and daughter, Bette Simmons of Urbana, IL also attended.
