HOMER "JIGGS" WALLACE (3/17/1917 - 6/26/2001)

Homer "Jiggs" Aloysius Wallace, 84, of Memphis, MO passed away June 26, 2001 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO.

Homer was born March 17, 1917 to Osa Otis and Nina (Sollars) Wallace in Keokuk, IA.

Homer was first married to Thelma Louise Fisher, Morton, IL, and two children, Gary Homer and David Lee were born. The second marriage was to Mina Lou Satterly, Hamilton, IL, and two children, Ritchie Kent and Tara Leilani were born. He was currently married to Isabel (Sue) Price.

Homer was a resident of Hancock County, IL for 78 years. He was a graduate of Elvaston High School with the class of 1935. Homer was self-employed at Wallace Pump Sales and Service.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1947; mother in 1970; a brother, Kenneth Lee in 1956; and his infant son, David Lee in 1945.

Survivors include his wife, Isabel of Memphis, MO; three children, Gary of Morton, IL, Ritchie of Hamilton, IL, and Tara of Gaithersburg, MD; previous wives; cousins; nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Nell Satterly, Geraldine Satterly, Don and Dolores Price, and Charles Price.

His body has been donated to Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. No funeral or memorial service will be held per his request.
