JESSIE L. MORRISON (8/31/1930 - 6/24/2001)

Jessie L. Morrison, 70, of Durham, MO died June 24, 2001 at his residence west of Durham.

He was born in rural Knox City, MO on August 31, 1930, son of Pearl E. and Cora Arlene McFadden Morrison.

He married Betty Lou Otte on July 14, 1952. They have been married for 48 years.

Those surviving are his wife, Betty Lou Morrison of Durham, MO; one son, Jesse Leon Morrison and his wife, Jodi of Springfield, IL; two daughters, Sharon Moeller and husband, Gary of Quincy, IL and Shirley King of Centralia, MO.

Other surviving are four sisters, Mildred Parrish of Gorin, MO, Hazel Jeffries of Sweeney, TX, Betty Erickson of Gorin, MO and Elma Chancellor of Lewistown, MO; four grand-children, Jennifer Mendez and husband, Dave, Brent Mueller, Tyrell and Devin Mauck, as well as several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Mr. Morrison received his education in Knox City, MO. He was a welder for Knapheid Manufacturing for 19 years, retiring in 1992.

Jessie Morrison had lived in Knox City, Rutledge, West Quincy and Memphis, MO before residing in Durham, MO. He was a member of the Local Machinist Union in Quincy, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Robert, Donald Francis and Junior Morrison.

There was no funeral service. Burial will be at a later date in the Durham Cemetery at Durham, MO.
