TED RINEY (8/24/1954 - 7/30/2001)

Ted Riney, 46, of Memphis, MO, passed away July 30, 2001, at his home.

He was born August 24, 1954, in Memphis, MO the son of Raymond and Dorothy Shalley Riney.

He married Oleva Kice, August 12, 1995, in Memphis, MO.

After graduating from Scotland County R-I High School, Memphis, MO, Ted worked for a number of different employers including the Chariton Valley Home for the Handicapped, Premium Standard Farms, and Barker & Company. He was a member of the Timber Ridge Golf Course, a patron member of the U.S. Golf Association, and a social member of the V.F.W. He played softball for several teams in the tri-state area, and was an avid golfer and Mizzou sports fan.

Ted was preceded in death by his mother.

Surviving are his father, Raymond Riney of Memphis, MO; two brothers, Richard Mathes and wife, Sharon and family of Topeka, KS, and Lynn Riney and wife, Karyn of Lawrence, KS; Oleva Riney of Memphis, MO; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Ted had a wide circle of friends and will be missed by all who loved him.

The family has suggested memorials to Junior Golf Tournament at Timber Ridge Golf Course.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2001, at 1:00 p.m. at the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO, with Bro. Jack Sumption, officiating. Body bearers will be David Shalley, Laddie Briscoe, Chad Scott, J.D. Nelson, Larry Martin, and Richard Newman. Interment will be in the Memphis Cemetery, Memphis, MO.
