LARRY PAUL (BUTCH) ZOOK (8/24/1943 - 8/09/2001)

Larry Paul (Butch) Zook, 57, of Lancaster, MO, died August 9, 2001, at the Boone County Medical Center in Columbia, MO.

The son of Edwin Adam and Opal Doreen (Simpson) Zook, he was born August 24, 1943 in Bloomington, IL.

He was married July 4, 1990 in Lancaster, MO to Diana Lynn Gingerich.

She survives as also do four step-children: Roger B. Wilson and wife, Wendy of Queen City, MO, Anthony Wilson of Lancaster, MO, Cory Wilson and Abby Parsons of Chandler, AZ, and Leslie Sessions of Lancaster, MO; and four step-grandchildren, Alexa, Garrett, Teagan and Caley; two brothers, Hap Zook and wife, Becky of Morton, IL and Don Zook and wife, Becky of Ottumwa, IA; nieces, nephews and a host of friends including special friends, Junior and Rhoda Buckallew of Lancaster, MO.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Jeffrey Eugene Zook.

Larry was a member of the LeRoy Christian Church, LeRoy, IL, and was also a past member of the Downing Lions Club and the Order of the Moose, Kirksville, MO. Larry was also honorably discharged from the National Guard in Illinois, where he served six years.

Funeral services were held August 12, 2001 at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, MO. Brent Fleshman, former pastor of the Lancaster Christian Church officiated. Music was provided by Cole Tippett, soloist, and Maureen Watkins, organist. Pallbearers were Ted Kubinski, Charlie Parsons, Doug Shepherd, Larry Weaver, Kelly Buckallew, Chris Moffett and Donnie Zook, Jr. Burial was in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, MO.
