EVELYN L. BRAMMER (6/14/1936 - 8/18/2001)

Evelyn L. Brammer, 65, of rural Paris, MO died August 18, 2001 at her home.

She was born June 14, 1936 in Kahoka, MO, a daughter of Floyd and Meleese Bishop Young.

She married Jessie Leroy "Bud" Brammer on May 16, 1953 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport, IA. He survives.

Other survivors include her four children, Larry Brammer and his wife, Laura, Ronda Flores and Jessie "Roy" Brammer, Jr., all of Davenport, IA and James Brammer of Moberly, MO; three grandchildren, Nichole and William Brammer and Amanda Dreifurst; one sister, Patricia Buehl of Davenport, IA; and her mother, Meleese Young.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, John Young.

Evelyn moved to Paris, MO from Davenport, IA in 1994. She had lived in Davenport for 45 years.

She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Davenport, IA. She volunteered in politics. She enjoyed gardening, canning, flowers, reading, her grandkids and she collected antiques and glassware.

Funeral services were held August 21, 2001, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Reverend Dan Deatrick officiating. Burial was in the Combs Cemetery in Luray, MO. Pallbearers were Alvin Young, Larry Young, Billy Young, Harold Buehl, Clarence Buehl, and Troy Buehl. Memorials may be made to The Blessing Hospice. The Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO was in charge of arrangements.
