LARRY E. SWEARINGEN
(4/16/1940 - 10/10/2001)



Larry E. Swearingen, 61, of Memphis, MO, passed away October 10, 2001, at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO.

Larry was born April 16, 1940, in Scotland County, MO, the son of Elza E. and Mary L. Shultz Swearingen.

He was a resident of the Scotland County Care Center, Memphis, MO for 22 years.

He is survived by two brothers, Dorsey Swearingen of Bible Grove, MO and Henry Swearingen and wife, Esther of Springfield, IL; two sisters, Mildred Wilson of Memphis, MO, and Norma Kigar and husband, Richard of Bible Grove, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jesse and Clyde; and a sister, Arleta Sunderland.

The family has suggested memorials to: Greensburg Cemetery.

Funeral services were held October 12, 2001 at the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO, with Brother Jack Sumption officiating. Body bearers were Arthur Swearingen, Doug Swearingen, Richard Kigar, Buddie Wilson, Chuck Kigar, and Jim Kigar. Interment was in the Greensburg Cemetery, in Knox County, MO.
