JASON MICHAEL ROCKHOLD
(10/27/1982 - 10/21/2001)



Jason Michael Rockhold, 18, of rural Arbela, MO and Central Methodist College, died October 21, 2001, as the result of an automobile accident.

Jason was born October 27, 1982 in Keosauqua, IA, the son of Brent and Teresa Rockhold.

He is survived by his parents; four brothers, Billy Yarbrough of Memphis, MO, Christopher Yarbrough and his wife, Tara of Memphis, MO, Joshua DaVolt of Farmington, IA, and Vince Rockhold of Arbela, MO; maternal grandfather, Leroy Passmore of Marshall, AR; paternal grandmother, LaWanda Rockhold of Gorin, MO; two nephews, one niece, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, a special friend, Dawn Drummond of Memphis, MO, many, many friends and loved ones.

Preceding Jason in death was his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Passmore and his paternal grandfather, Virgil Rockhold.

Jason was a member of the Scotland County R-I graduating class of 2001. He was a member of the Gorin Go-Getters 4-H Club, National Honor Society, Chorus, Letterman's Club, Co-Captain of the varsity basketball team, and the varsity football team.

Jason was a freshman at Central Methodist College at Fayette, MO, where he had earned a letter for varsity football. Jason enjoyed all sports, but truly loved football. He also loved people and never knew a stranger. Jason will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial has been established to the Jason Michael Rockhold Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2001, at 3:00 p.m. at the Scotland County High School in Memphis, MO with Pastor James L. Campbell officiating. Music will be provided by Tara Yarbrough and Darla Mohr. Pallbearers will be Jaryt Hunziker, Dave Shalley, Marc Colvin, Greg Purdum, Brent Bondurant and Chris Montgomery. Burial will be in the Granger Cemetery, Granger, MO. Arrangements were by Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO.
