WILLIAM M. STEELE

William M. Steele, 66, of Memphis, MO died November 11, 2001, at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO.

He was born March 19, 1935 in Kirksville, MO to Olen Perry and Grace Dion Ford Steele.

He married Nellie Shinn in Kirksville, MO on May 29, 1954.

He was the manager of Builders Edge of Milton, IA and a 1953 graduate of Kirksville High School in Kirksville, MO.

He is survived by his wife of Memphis, MO; five daughters, Teresa Roberts and her husband, Kenny of Centralia, MO, Linda Hervey and her husband, Terry of Birmingham, IA, Janet Tremaine of Columbia, MO, Lisa Steele of Memphis, MO, and Kris Chamley and her husband, Wes of Wayland, MO; five grandchildren; and one sister, Anna Mae Eliades of Corpus Christi, TX.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 14, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. at the Memphis Funeral Home, Memphis, MO with the Rev. Charles Hammack officiating. Burial will be in the Brock Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Terry Hervey, Kenny Roberts, Wes Chamley, Dean Simerl, Jim McKim and Brad Davison. Honorary casketbearers will be Leroy Robison, Wayne Robison, Harold Cooley, Irvin Clendenen, Howard Schafer and Sam Polonski. A memorial has been established to the American Heart Association. Memphis Funeral Home of Memphis, MO is in charge of arrangements.
