EITHEL McVEY CARROLL SAWYERS
(4/10/1931 - 12/11/2001)



Eithel Ardell McVey was born April 10, 1931, in Pulaski, IA. She was the daughter of Amy Gordy and Ora Albert McVey.

She passed away in Springfield, MO December 11, 2001.

On December 8, 1947, she was united in marriage to Gene Carroll and to this union two sons were born, Clyde Eugene (wife, Sharon) of Arvada, CO, and Michael Scott (wife, Judy) of Lamar, CO. Gene preceded her in death. On July 26, 1981, she married L.J. Sawyers and he survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Lucille Blackwell.

Survivors include a sister, Georgia Lea Campfield of Blue Springs, MO; a brother, Wilber McVey of Pittsburg, MO; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 12 step-grandchildren; a step-sister, Flisha Jones of Rich Hill, MO. A step-brother, Michael Jones of Oak Grove, MO; two step-daughters, Teresa Dilsaver of Republic, MO, and Leasia Coffer, Mountain Grove, MO; two sisters-in-law, Eunice Carroll of Harrisonville, MO and Lynne Malone of Quincy, IL.

The body was cremated and memorial services were held at the Rondo Baptist Church in Rondo, MO. Her ashes were interned in the Flemmington Cemetery at Flemmington, MO.
