Gorin Teenager Seriously Injured In Four-Wheeler Crash

A Gorin teenager was seriously injured when the four-wheeler he was driving impacted the rear of a parked pickup truck near the Gorin School. The accident occurred at 6:50 p.m. February 17.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 16-year-old Christopher J. Armstrong was eastbound on Route U inside the Gorin city limits. The 2000 Yamaha four-wheeler he was driving struck the rear of a 1999 Chevrolet pickup that was parked on the side of the road.

Armstrong sustained serious injuries in the crash. The Air-Evac helicopter landed at the scene and Armstrong was flown to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

The patrol was assisted at the scene by the Scotland County Ambulance Service and the Gorin Fire Department.
