Rutledge Woman Injured In Crash East Of Edina

A Rutledge woman escaped a one-vehicle accident at 10:20 a.m. May 8 in Knox County with just minor injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Patsy Montgomery, 53, was westbound on Missouri Highway 6, two-miles east of Edina, when she lost control of her 1989 Chevrolet. The car went off the right side of the road and struck a tree before coming to rest in a water-filled ditch.

Montgomery was taken by private vehicle to Northeast Missouri Regional Hospital where she was treated and released.

The vehicle was towed from the scene. The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Knox County Rescue Squad and the Edina Police Department.
