Wyaconda Woman Injured In Crash On Route W

A Wyaconda woman suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident eight miles south of Wyaconda on Route W at 6:20 p.m. May 18.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Virginia St. Clair, 79, was southbound on Route W in a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina when she failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the roadway into the northbound ditch. The car impacted an embankment and overturned coming to rest on its top.

St. Clair was taken by Clark County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Clark County Sheriff's Department and the Clark County Rescue Squad.

St. Clair was cited for failure to wear a seat belt.
