Drug Task Force Nabs Local Man Amid 13 Arrests

Thirteen northeast Missouri men, including one Scotland County resident, were arrested last week as the result of a North Missouri Drug Task Force investigation that encompassed the last two and a half years.

Timothy P. Horton was taken into custody by the Scotland County Sheriff's Department on an Adair County warrant. He was held at the Scotland County Jail before being transferred to Adair County where he was being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond.

Horton faces class B felony charges of distribution, delivery and manufacture of a controlled substance as well as possession with intent to distribute meth-amphetamine.

The major task force action began June 20 with the arrest of six Kirksville residents on Macon and Adair County warrants for felony marijuana and meth charges. Additional arrests were made June 21 for theft of anhydrous ammonia, possession and distribution of a controlled substance and manufacturing of methamphetamine.
