St. Louis Escapee Captured At House In Memphis

The Scotland County Sheriff's Department reported the arrest of Grant W. Reece, 38, after he walked away from a halfway house in St. Louis earlier this year.

Sheriff Wayne Winn stated he had received a tip from the St. Louis probation and parole office that Reece might be staying in Memphis.

Winn located Reece and he was taken into custody without incident on June 18 at a residence on north Market Street. Reece is being held in the Scotland County Jail awaiting pickup from the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Reece had absconded from the St. Louis Community Release center, a work-release facility.
