Ross Resigns As Mayor Of Gorin

Gorin Mayor Tracey Ross submitted her resignation during the August 12 meeting of the city's Board of Aldermen. Ross made the move as she is planning to move to Iowa.

Board president pro-tem Joyce Carpenzano was sworn in as the acting mayor to complete the term. The board then nominated and elected Bob Carpenzano to fill his wife's seat on the council from the east ward of Gorin. He was also sworn in at the August 12 meeting.

The Gorin council now consists of Arthur Bass and Veronica Berry, representing the west ward and Lori Elder and Bob Carpenzano serving the east ward.

The city governing board meets the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Gorin City Hall.
