RUBY FERN WRIGHT
(11/29/1929 - 5/8/2002)



Ruby Fern Wright, 72, of Memphis, MO, died May 8, 2002, at her home in rural Scotland County, MO.

She was born November 29, 1929, at Bible Grove, MO, the seventh of 12 children to E.D. and Elsie Jane (Smith) Frederick.

On March 24, 1954, she married E. Wayne Wright in Memphis, MO, where they farmed and operated a business their entire married life. In later years Ruby worked at the Scotland County Care Center, Memphis, MO, as a dietary aide. She was baptized on November 26, 1963, at the Memphis First Christian Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; her brothers, Henry, Victor, and Kent Frederick; and a sister, Sarah Jane Frederick.

Survivors include her sons, Thomas D. Barickman and wife, Sally of Grand Forks, ND, and Ethan W. Wright and wife, Marsha of Memphis, MO; four daughters, Elaine Nuhn and husband, Stephen of Anabel, MO, Rhonda McBee and husband, Jim of Memphis, MO, Pamela McVady and husband, Mike of Alsip, IL, and Sondra Wright of Crossville, TN. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Olivia Hanselman and husband, Travis, Casey Barickman, Jacob, Joshua and Zachary McBee, Michael and Mitchell Nuhn, Elijah and Haley Lester, Raven Jayne Hall, Shaye Wright, and Emma McVady; brothers, Roscoe, Dean, John, and George Frederick; sisters, Helen Dickerson, Betty Wright and Hazel Unglesbee; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services were held May 11, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. in the Bible Grove Christian Church in Bible Grove, MO, with Reese Blaine officiating. Music was provided by Ann Luther, organist, and Angela Westhoff, soloist. Serving as casketbearers were grandsons, Jacob McBee, Joshua McBee, Michael Nuhn, Mitchell Nuhn, Zachary McBee, Elijah Wright Lester, Casey Barickman, and Travis Hanselman. Interment was in the Bible Grove Christian Church Cemetery, Bible Grove, MO. Memorials have been suggested to Hospice 2000 or to the Bible Grove Christian Church Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Gerth Funeral Service from their Memphis, MO chapel.
