RONALD KEITH DIAL
(4/29/1932 - 6/6/2002)



Ronald Keith Dial, 70, of Memphis, MO, died unexpectedly June 6, 2002, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, IA.

He was born April 29, 1932, in Memphis, MO, to A.J. and Lydia Emilee Dial, being the youngest of four children.

He graduated from Memphis High School with the class of 1950.

He was married to Joan Johnson, of Memphis, MO, and to this union three children were born.

At an early age he joined his father and brother in the construction business. He continued in the family business with his son, Steve until his death.

Ronald Keith enjoyed getting up every morning and going to work. He also enjoyed fishing, watching sports, using the computer and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his very special companion JoAnn Rood of Memphis, MO; one daughter, Nancy Porter of Kirksville, MO; two sons, Gary Dial and wife, Lana and Steve Dial and wife, Angela, all of Memphis, MO; six grandchildren, Jason Porter of Springfield, MO and Darin Porter of Kirksville, MO, Lydia Dial and Brian Dial of Memphis, MO, and Kasey Dial and Hailey Dial of Memphis, MO. He is also survived by a special sister, Betty Lou Green of Memphis, MO, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ronald Keith was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Evelyn; brother, Eugene; nephews, Bobby Dial and Richard Lindsey.

Funeral services were held June 9, 2002, at the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO, with Pastor James Campbell officiating. Body bearers were Jason Porter, Darin Porter, Brian Dial, John Dodge, Roger Nimmo, and Jack Dannenhauer. Honorary bearers were Lydia Dial, Kasey Dial, Hailey Dial, Chad Dial, Tom Shalley, Phil Payne, and Duane Courtright. Interment was in the Memphis Cemetery, Memphis, MO. Payne Funeral Chapel of Memphis, MO, was in charge of arrangements.
