Dorothy V. Ebling, 94, Blue Springs, MO, passed away June 5, 2002, at the home of her grandson and his wife in Olathe, KS.

She was born November 15, 1907 in Memphis, MO, the daughter of Lee R. and Merle Brown Hardman.

She graduated from Memphis High School, then taught two years at Salem country school east of Memphis, MO.

She later moved to Kansas City, KS, and substituted in elementary schools there many years. She later moved to Blue Springs, MO.

Dorothy was married Kenneth Clark Ebling on June 24, 1929, at Keokuk, IA. He passed away April 21, 1977.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth L. Ebling of Overland Park, KS; one grandson, Vinton E. Ebling and his wife, Amy and children, Austin and Brittany of Olathe, KS; Nelda and Donald Billups of Memphis, MO, Mrs. Melvin (Hazel) Hardman, Neal and Susie Hardman and family of Woodland, CA, Bill and Carol Rose and family of Sacramento, CA, Jack and Betty Blackwell of Sedalia, MO, and Mrs. John William (Helen) Mallett and family of Anamosa, IA.

Visitation and memorial services were held June 8, 2002, at the First Baptist Church, Blue Springs, MO, with cremation following. An inurnment service will be held at the Memphis Cemetery later. Memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church, Blue Springs, MO.
