BARBARA ANN HOLTKAMP
(7/18/1944 - 6/20/2002)



Barbara Ann Holtkamp, 57, of Luray, MO, died June 20, 2002, at the San Martin Hospital in Tijuana, Mexico.

She was born July 18, 1944, in Keokuk, IA, a daughter of William Ralph and Frances Wilkens LeMaster.

She married Vincent Holtkamp on June 7, 1980, in Kahoka, MO. He survives.

Barbara had been a lifelong resident of Clark County, MO. She and Vincent had farmed since their marriage and had owned and operated the Ice Cream Shoppe in Kahoka, MO since 1989 and Holtkamp's Family Dining Restaurant since 1992. She was a member of the Luray Baptist Church in Luray, MO.

Barbara had many hobbies and interests. She loved the Christmas Season and spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling to Branson, MO, watching QVC on television, flower gardening and watching hummingbirds. She collected porcelain dolls and Barbie dolls and liked to burn candles.

Other survivors include her children, Kevin Johnson and his wife, Sue of Kahoka, MO, Kim Johnson and her fiancé, Don Gibson of Arbela, MO, Kris Huston and her husband, David of Kahoka, MO, Dena Shelangoski and her husband, Kurt of Luray, MO, Dana Bertelli and her husband, Brett of Kahoka, MO and Steven Stark and his fiancée, Nadine Segovia of Kahoka, MO; three step-sons, Jody, Nathan and Ryan Holtkamp of Burlington, IA; 18 grandchildren; three sisters, Velma Dickwisch and her husband, Edward Jack of West Point, IL, Mary Toops and her husband, George "Bud" of St. Francisville, MO and Janis Davis and her husband, David of Burlington, IA; five brothers, William LeMaster and his wife, Mary of Pensacola, FL, Thomas LeMaster and his wife, Kathy of rural Revere, MO, Harold LeMaster of his wife, Roseann of St. Francisville, MO, Gary LeMaster and his wife, Mary of Alexandria, MO and Kenneth LeMaster and his wife, Janice of rural Revere, MO; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Donald (Marguerite) LeMaster of Keokuk, IA; one brother-in-law, Gene Rampley of Quincy, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Travis Stark in infancy on April 25, 1979; two sisters, Mrs. Leona (Gene) Rampley and Zella LeMaster; one brother, Donald LeMaster.

Funeral services were held June 24, 2002 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Pastor Mark Lowman officiating. Burial was in the Holtkamp family cemetery in rural Luray, MO. Pallbearers were Mark Toops, Tom Toops, Logan LeMaster, Jim LeMaster, Andy LeMaster, and Randy McDaniel. Memorials were made to the Luray Baptist Church. Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO was in charge of arrangements.
