LOUBELL JACKSON
(8/1/1917 - 7/18/2002)



Loubell Jackson, 84, of Downing, MO, died July 18, 2002, at the Manor Care Center in Kirksville, MO.

The daughter of Joseph Lee and Florence Edna (Jackson) Bondurant, she was born August 1, 1917 near Downing, MO.

On March 30, 1934, she was married to Bernie Edwin Jackson and to this union five daughters and one son were born.

She was preceded in death by her husband who died May 12, 1986; her parents; one infant daughter; a brother, Harold Bondurant and a great-grandson, Bradley Anders.

Mr. and Mrs. Jackson lived their entire life in the Downing vicinity. She was a long-time member of the Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by her four daughters, Mrs. Ronnie (Roberta) Martin of Downing, MO, Mrs. Basil (Ramona) Anders of Downing, MO, Mrs. Hugh (Sandra) Hagerman of Wayland, MO, and Mrs. Harry (Penny) Mossbrooks of Kirksville, MO; her only son, Edwin and his wife, Anita Jackson also of Downing, MO; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Florene Martin of Lancaster, MO; and one sister-in-law, Fern Bondurant of Princeton, MO.

Funeral services were held July 21, at the Norman Funeral Home in Downing, MO. David Barton of Memphis, MO was the officiating minister. Music was provided by Janice Ruder and Sheena Barton, great-granddaughters. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Stanley Sayre, Bruce Jackson, Mike Long, Brent Jackson, Rusty Anders and Eric Anders. Interment was in the Campground Cemetery, southeast of Downing, MO. Memorials may be made to Hospice 2000 of Kirksville, MO. Norman Funeral Home of Downing, MO was in charge of arrangements.
