Robert Allen Young, 35, of Columbia, MO formerly of Memphis, MO died July 18, 2002 from injuries sustained in a truck accident on Highway 63 near Vienna, MO.

Rob was born August 25, 1966 at Kirksville, MO to Ronnie L. and Bonnie Jean (Boyer) Young. He was a graduate of Scotland County R-1 High School, Class of 1985 and Tech. School , Wichita, KS.

He married Mara Kay Haverich December 12, 1992 at Columbia, MO. He was employed as a department manager for a grocer company in Columbia for 10 years and the past five years was a truck driver for Swift Co. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Christian Church in Columbia, MO. He was a loving son and brother and devoted to his children.

Survivors include his three children; Meghann Nicole, Tyler Jacob and Brenna Leighann Young and their Mother, Mara Kay of Columbia. His parents; Ronnie and Bonnie Young of Memphis, one sister Debbie Blessing and her husband, Jarrod of Memphis, his grandparents Okie D. and Delores Boyer of Arbela and two nephews, Jacob and Aaron Blessing of Memphis.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Evelyn Young.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 22, 2002 in the First Christian Church in Memphis. Officiating was Brother Jack Sumption. Ann Luther was pianist. Vocalists were Angela Westhoff and Alisa Kigar. Casketbearers were; Rob Shannon, Jarrod Blessing, Mike Young, David Young, John Fulks, and Keith Young. Burial was in the Memphis Cemetery. Memorials may be given to his Children's Education Fund.

Memphis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
