Charles "Charlie" Joseph Creek, 63, lifelong resident of Memphis, MO, passed away August 7, 2002, in Boone County Hospital in Columbia, MO.

The son of Joseph Marshall and Opal Lenore (Hibbett) Creek, he was born on May 21, 1939, in Keokuk, IA.

He graduated from Memphis High School in 1957.

Charlie had worked at Myers Produce for 10 years and had delivered the St. Louis Globe Democrat, the St. Louis Post Dispatch, and the Des Moines Register in the Memphis area, spanning the years of 1972 until 1990.

He was an avid sports fan and also enjoyed raising his rat terrier dogs. He was also a member of the First Christian Church in Memphis, MO.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Charlie is survived by his special friend, Linda Aldridge of Memphis, MO.

Graveside services were held August 9, 2002, in the Memphis Cemetery, Memphis, MO, with Reverend Charles Hammack officiating. Memorials have been suggested to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association. Arrange-ments were handled by Gerth Funeral Service from their Memphis, MO chapel.
