Evaughn M. Grinstead, 81, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Memphis, MO, passed away August 12, 2002.

The daughter of Arthur Grey and Verna (Allen) Moffett, she was born on April 10, 1921, in Memphis, MO.

She received her education from Scotland County Public Schools in Memphis, MO, and the Chillicothe Business School. Her working years, as well as her retirement, were spent in Indiana.

She was a member of the Queen Ester Lodge Eastern Star in Indianapolis, IN.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ben Grinstead; three brothers, Hubert, Hillis, and Donald Moffett; and two sisters, Verlee Taggart and Madaline Marteny.

Survivors include her brother, Gordon A. Moffett of Conway, AR, formerly of Memphis and Kirksville, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, and aunt, and will be missed.

Graveside services were held on August 17, 2002, in the Memphis Cemetery, Memphis, MO, with Brother Jack Sumption officiating. Memorials have been suggested to the Missouri School for the Blind or to the charity or organization of the donor's choice. Arrangements were handled by Gerth Funeral Service from their Memphis, MO chapel.
