Marvin W. Martin, 83, of Memphis, MO, died October 6, 2002, in Columbia, MO.

Mr. Martin was born February 19, 1919, in Gordon, KS, the son of Chancy William and Grace Pearl (Keely) Martin.

He was a retired farmer.

He married Phyllis Duryea on June 10, 1939, in Newkirk, OK. She died in 1989.

He was a member of the Douglass First Christian Church, the Douglass Masonic Lodge and the Wichita Consistory in Kansas.

He married Helen Clough on August 26, 1994, in Douglass, KS. They moved to Memphis, MO from Douglass about eight years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; daughters, Dianne Clark of Douglass, KS and Connie Voyles of Mansfield, TX; step-sons, Richard Clough of Olathe, KS, and Robert Clough of Berea, OH; brothers, Troy Martin of Russell, KS, and Ronald Martin of Wichita, KS; sisters, Doris Beavers of Kelso, WA, Virginia Shepherd of Longview, WA; and Audrey Parkins of Grove, OK; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 17 great-grand-children; one step-great-grandchild; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established with the Douglass Senior Center and the First Christian Church.

Funeral services were held October 10, 2002, at the Douglass First Christian Church with the Rev. Cliff F. Muci, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Douglass Cemetery, Douglass, KS.
