BARBARA "PAT" GLASSCOCK
(10/17/1931 - 10/22/2002)



Barbara "Pat" Glasscock, 71, of Galena, MO, formerly of rural Arbela, MO, died October 22, 2002, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO.

She was born October 17, 1931, in Chicago, IL, a daughter of James and Dora Ethel Wellfort Anthony.

On November 24, 1948, she was united in marriage to Clark E. Glasscock in Kahoka, MO.

Survivors include her husband, Clark of Galena, MO; two sons, Gary Glasscock and his wife, Sheree of Fort Madison, IA and Mark Glasscock and his wife, Dana of Gorin, MO; one daughter, Terri Jennings and her husband, Robert of Sedalia, MO; eight grandchildren, Eston Glasscock of Aurora, MO, Davye Glasscock of Warrensburg, MO, Dakota Glasscock of Maryville, MO, Jared Jennings and his wife, Sara of Sedalia, MO, and Bethany, Zachary, Evangeline, and Evan Jennings, all of Sedalia, MO; four half-brothers, Charles Little, Herbert Little, Jon Little and his wife, Sharon, and Jack Little and his wife, Doris, all of Fort Madison, IA; a sister, Mrs. Gene (Joan) Palmer of Kahoka, MO; a half-sister, Mrs. Jim (Jeanne) Ogle of Fayette, AR; brothers and sisters-in-law, J.C. and Wanna Glasscock of Keokuk, IA, and Delbert and Velma Hasenclever of Wever, IA, as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, A.C. "Doc" Little; and two half-brothers, Robert Little in infancy, and Terrance Little.

"Pat was a graduate of Fort Madison High School. In the early 1970's she had been employed at Sears and Place's in Kahoka, MO, and later at Place's in Memphis, MO. She and Clark moved to Galena in 1987 and since that time had worked at Silver Dollar City in Crane, MO, where she demonstrated and made wagon train dolls. Pat had been a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Kahoka, MO, and later of Bible Baptist Church in Crane, MO. She loved attending craft fairs and crafting, particularly toll painting and quilting.

Funeral services were held October 26, 2002, at Bible Baptist Church in Kahoka, MO with Pastor Robert Jennings officiating. Doris St. Clair Anderson was pianist with special music by Davye Glasscock, Bethany Jennings, Evangeline Jennings and Sara Jennings. Pallbearers were Eston Glasscock, Dakota Glasscock, Jared Jennings, Jim Bash, Bill Bash, and Kevin Palmer. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery. Memorials were suggested to Wycliffe Bible Ministeries to support Ronald and DeAnn Rearick, Missionaries in New Guinea. Arrangements were handled by Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka, MO.
