Ethlyn Cowles, 86, of rural Pulaski, IA, died November 16, 2002, at her home.

She was born July 29, 1916, in Scotland County, MO, to Ross and Ada Cone Faucett.

She married Victor N. Cowles, November 11, 1934, in Memphis, MO.

She was a bookkeeper for Citizens Mutual Telephone Company for 14 years retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Pulaski Mennonite Church.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Ed Cowles of Columbia, MO; three grandchildren; 11 great-grand-children; three great-great-grand-children; and a sister, Glynn Douglas of Wichita, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Leland Faucett.

Funeral services were November 19, 2002, at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, IA, with Pastor Mike Owens officiating. Burial was in the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, IA. A memorial has been established to the Cancer Fund. Casket bearers will be John, Vic, and Matthew Cowles, Benji Lenz, Justin Linhardt, and Bradley Simmons. Wagler Funeral Home, Bloomfield, IA.
