EDWARD FORREST HARRIS
4/29/1943 - 12/6/2002



Edward Forrest Harris, 59, of Shawnee, KS, passed away December 6, 2002, at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS.

The son of Forrest Enlow and Ruth (Ross) Harris, he was born in Lincoln, NE, on April 29, 1943. He grew up in the Downing, MO vicinity and graduated from the Downing High School.

Eddie worked in commercial construction and had made his home in the Kansas City area for many years.

He was married to Vonna Hurley in 1961 and to this union two children were born, Sarah and Michael. He was married to Judy Beeler in 1968 and to this union a daughter, Tina was born.

His father, Forrest Harris, who passed away March 12, 1984, preceded Eddie in death.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth Harris of Lancaster, MO; his son, Michael Harris of Pleasant Hill, MO; his two daughters, Sarah Bradshaw and her husband, Shane of Livonia, MO and Tina Harris of Roeland Park, KS; his fiancee, JoAnn Kimbriel of Shawnee, KS; three grandchildren, Patricia Harris, Dillon and Haley Bradshaw; one brother, Phil Harris and his wife, Paula of Blue Springs, MO; and one sister, Joy Grimes and her husband, Sam of Macon, MO; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Eddie was a member of Downing Baptist Church of Downing, MO. He was also an antique car enthusiast and belonged to a car club called the Cowtown T's. He spent many happy hours building and showing his own Ford T-Bucket.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2002, at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, MO, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Larry Ayers, a lifetime friend from Texas, officiating. There will be a special taped music selection played. Pallbearers will be Kelly Long, Vernon Carroll, John Beeler, Rex Beeler, Jack Beeler and Duane Holy. Interment will be in the Downing City Cemetery in Downing, MO. Memorials have been established for the Cowtown T's Car Club.
