CHESTER K. WIGGINS
4/26/1937 - 12/13/2002



Chester K. Wiggins, 84, of New Cambria, MO, passed away December 13, 2002, at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon, MO.

Mr. Wiggins was born in rural New Cambria, MO, on June 27, 1918, the son of Frank P. and Minnie Miller Wiggins.

He married Lila F. Fletcher on April 26, 1937, at Macon, MO.

He was formerly a member of the Macon Rural Electric Board, Soil and Water District Board of Keytesville, MFA Board, and Menefee School Board for a number of years.

Surviving are his wife, Lila of the home; one son, Dr. Larry K. Wiggins of Memphis, MO; three daughters, Elaine Rucker and her husband, Booker of Jefferson City, MO, Linda Putnam and her husband, Russell of Columbia, MO, and Rowena and her husband, Dr. Drew Zepp of St. Peters, MO; one daughter-in-law, Pam Wiggins of New Cambria, MO; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Donave Still of Macon, MO and Sheila and her husband, Hubert Hillsman of Meridian, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, the late Representative Gary Wiggins; one grandson, Rusty Putnam; one granddaughter, Michelle Renea Wiggins; two brothers, Marvin and Eugene Wiggins; and one sister, Betty Jean Bybee.

Funeral services were held December 15, 2002 at the Gilleland and McElwain Funeral Home in New Cambria, MO with Rev. Clyde Enyeart and Father Phillip Moriarity officiating. Burial was in Johnson Cemetery at Lagonda. The family suggests memorials to the Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
