EDNA PHARES KENNETT
2/10/1909 - 12/17/2002



Edna Phares Kennett, 93, of Memphis, MO, a retired schoolteacher, died at the Scotland County Care Center, December 17, 2002.

The daughter of James G. and Mary E. (Mullikin) Snyder, she was born February 10, 1909, in Scotland County, MO.

She was a member of the Memphis United Methodist Church and attended faithfully as long as her health permitted.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Emory; a nephew, James William; and husbands, Merlin Phares and Clark Kennett.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Kathleen Snyder of Memphis, MO; a step-daughter, Winifred Bowman of St. Louis, MO; two nieces, Mary Watson and husband, Paul of Canton, IL and Jean Daggs and husband, Larry of Montrose, IA; two step-grandchildren; and several grand-nieces and nephews.

The family has suggested memorials to the Memphis United Methodist Church or the Scotland County Care Center.

Funeral services were held December 19, 2002, at the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis, MO with Rev. Charles Hammack officiating. Body bearers were Danny Watson, Kevin Watson, David Watson, Ron Smith, Larry Daggs and Brian Goforth. Interment was in the Memphis Cemetery, Memphis, MO. Payne Funeral Chapel of Memphis, MO, was in charge of arrangements.
