Ford Drives Milan To Win Over Tigers With Big Fourth Quarter

Most school buses are Bluebirds, but the Milan Wildcats were driven by a Ford to a 60-49 victory over Scotland County on February 5 in Memphis. Brett Ford had 11 of his game-high 18 points in the key fourth period as the Wildcats rebounded from a 41-39 deficit to open the period to post a 60-49 win.

SCR-I came out strong behind the play of forward Brad Holt. The senior scored 10 points in the first period but Milan still held a 15-14 advantage.

A pair of three pointers from Aarron Holt and buckets from Tim Buford and Chase Moore helped give the Tigers a 27-26 lead at half time.

Scotland County continued on the road to an upset in the third period. Brad and Aarron Holt each hit three pointers. Buckets from Buford, Jake Fogle and Robbie Miller helped the Tigers extend the margin to 41-39.

But Ford sent SCR-I on a detour in the final eight minutes. The Wildcats outscored the Tigers 21-8 in crunch time to take home the win.

Brad Holt topped the SCR-I score book with 16 points. Aarron Holt finished with 10 and Buford pitched in with six points. Clint Cottrell added five points while Moore and Miller each finished with four.
