JH Campus Bowlers Take Third In Tourney

The Scotland County junior high campus bowl team finished third in the SCR-I campus bowl tournament held March 8 in Memphis.

SCR-I started the day with a 335-220 win against Milan. Julie Triplett led the way with 120 points and Lance Smith added 60 points.

The Tigers stumbled in game two, falling to Putnam County 305-240 despite 100 points from Triplett.

Scotland County rebounded in game three to win the third place trophy with a 355-210 victory over Clark County.

Jessica Erwin topped the scoring with 60 points. Smith and Triplett each had 50 points and Jon Keller added 40.

North Shelby won the tourney title with Putnam County taking second place.

Triplett was named to the all-tournament team with the third highest scoring average for the event, 93 points per contest. Eden Hudson of North Shelby headed up the all star team with a 150 point scoring average.

Other all-tourney team members were Cody Couch, Knox County - 130; Blake Tade, Putnam County - 90; Anthony Hagan, Monroe City - 80; Andrew Cook, Clark County - 70; Jesse Sewell, Clark County - 63; and Aaron Hustead, Knox County - 60.
