Golf Team Cools Down In Loss To Canton Tigers

The weekend cool down in the weather had a similar effect on the Scotland County golf team as the Tigers ended a hot winning streak with a defeat at Canton April 19.

Canton carded a team score of 165 to edge the Tigers by eight strokes. Nathan Hark won the individual medalist honors with a three-over-par 38. Chase Moore was just one shot off the pace with a round of 39 for the Tigers.

Vince Rockhold carded a 44 while Josh McBee and Corvin Drummond both scored 45. Andy Boyer had an off day with a score of 48.

The Tigers junior varsity squad defeated Canton 193-200 behind a round of 41 from Josh Marlowe. Brian Dial had a 49 while Nick Oldham shot a 51 and Ryan Hinds had a 52.
