The Scotland County golf team got a taste of the big time Saturday, April 20 as the Tigers competed against 3A and 4A schools in the Kirksville Golf Tournament.

Despite being one of the smallest schools in the competition, SCR-I held it's own in the 15-team event, finishing sixth overall with a score of 344.

Wentzville won the tournament with a score of 314, followed by Columbia Rockbridge at 317 and Marshall at 318. The home team was fourth with a score of 318 followed by Richmond at 327 and then Scotland County.

The Tigers finished ahead of Jefferson City Helias, Schuyler County, Jefferson City, Highland, Macon, Moberly, Columbia Hickman, Hannibal and the Kirksville B-Team.

Chase Moore and Corvin Drummond had the top performances for SCR-I carding rounds of 81. Andy Boyer shot an 89 while Josh McBee finished with a 93 and Josh Marlowe had a 95.
