Tigers Track Stars Headed To State Meet

Both the Scotland County boys and girls track teams will be represented in Jefferson City this weekend.

Amy Morgan will represent the Lady Tigers after finishing second in the discus at the District meet held May 13.

The boys team had four qualifiers for state, all second place finishes.

Jason Findling finished second in the long jump. Senior Jason Glass was second in the discus. Brett Masden earned a birth to state in the shot put. The Tigers 4x800 relay team also qualified for state, finishing second in the race. Relay team members were Clint Cottrell, Cody Holt, Kiel Fogle and Danny Roach.

Findling, Roach, Masden, Cottrell, Fogle and Holt are all juniors, meaning the Tigers will have a solid foundation to build upon in 2003.
