Police Officers Investigating Possible Scam

The Memphis Police Department is investigating a possible scam that hit the town January 11.

According to an MPD officer, two females allegedly were going door-to-door in Memphis soliciting donations for the Clark County school's art club. The investigator indicated these individuals may have been misrepresenting themselves and their fundraiser. The officer believes the two girls contacted residents at approximately 20 to 25 homes sometime around 2:00 p.m. that Saturday afternoon.

Anyone that was contacted by these individuals is asked to contact the Memphis Police Department at 465-2612.
