Masden, Fuller To Represent SCR-I At State Track Meet

Senior Brett Masden is headed to state in the shot put after wrapping up a picture perfect record in 2003. Masden went undefeated, winning the event in every meet of the year including the district championships held in Brookfield on Saturday, May 17.

Masden, who is heading to Central Methodist College in Fayette to play football, also broke the Scotland County R-I School Record in the shot put with a throw of 51-feet, one-inch.

Brett will represent SCR-I at the Class 2 state championships to be held in Jefferson City on Saturday, May 24.

He will be joined by freshman Jamie Fuller who is representing the Lady Tigers track team after finishing second at the district meet in the 300-meter hurdles.

Like Masden, Fuller also is a record holder, as she established the SCR-I school record in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 49.17 seconds.
