Munzlinger To Host Freshmen Legislators On NEMO Tour
First District State Representative Brian Munzlinger, R-Williamstown, will coordinate a tour of Northeast Missouri for the freshmen class of legislators.
"Missouri is a very diverse state and many have already found that what works in their neighborhood may not work in someone else's," said Rep. Munzlinger. "This tour provide an opportunity for state legislators to visit the area and hear some the concerns of the people."
In December, the newly elected representatives took part in Freshman Orientation. During this orientation the new members were given information on all aspects of their jobs from office furniture to how the state budget is crafted. After the classroom portion of the orientation the members boarded buses for a three-week tour of the State of Missouri and its facilities and government agencies. However, that tour did not venture north of I-70 on the Eastern portion of the state. Rep. Munzlinger will lead the freshmen members through Mexico, Louisiana, Hannibal, Canton, Kirksville, Macon, Chillicothe and Moberly on August 25-27, 2003.
"This tour will be a great opportunity to highlight the assets that Northeast Missouri has to offer the entire State of Missouri," said Rep. Munzlinger.
