Author To Be In Memphis For Book Signing

Author and former Memphis resident Terry Rush will be at Rodgers Jewelry in Memphis Saturday, November 1 for a special book signing for his recently released publication “Voice of Silver, Heart of Gold”, a tribute to legendary St. Louis Cardinals broadcaster Jack Buck.

The book is a 120-page compilation of letters, messages and other words of encouragement offered to the Buck family after the passing of Jack on June 18, 2002.

More than 20,000 copies of “Voice of Silver, Heart of Gold” were handed out to fans at the September 20 St. Louis Cardinals baseball game at Busch Stadium. The publication is also available through the Schnuck’s grocery store line in the St. Louis area and can be purchased locally at J’s Foods.

Rush will have copies of the book available at the book signing, which is scheduled from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

In addition to the book signing, Rush will also be performing the service at the Memphis United Methodist Church on Sunday, November 2 beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Terry Rush is the minister of Memorial Drive Church of Christ in Tulsa, OK. He is a life-long St. Louis Cardinals fan who has developed a relationship with the team through his ministry and participation at the organization’s St. Louis Cardinals Legends annual fantasy camp.

He is a published author on the theology front as well as in the baseball field, where Rush has been featured on a number of sports documentaries, including a special on ESPN focusing on the infamous “Field of Dreams.”
