Edina Man Killed In Crash Near Baring

An Edina man was killed in a fiery one-car crash Friday, October 24 on Route K in Knox County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Tony M. Shaw, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 7:48 a.m. by coroner Mike Kite.

Shaw was eastbound on Route K, two miles from the Route EE intersection when the 1995 Ford F-150 that he was driving went off the south side of the roadway where it impacted a concrete bridge rail. The vehicle then caught fire.

The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Knox County Sheriff’s Department, the Knox County Fire and Rescue and the Knox County Ambulance.

An obituary for Tony Shaw is located on Page 5 of this issue.
