Downing Woman Hurt In Wreck Near County Line

A Downing woman sustained minor injuries in a two-car crash on Highway 136 near the Scotland County/Schuyler County line at 5:50 p.m. November 16.

Toni K. Moore, 43, was eastbound in a 1994 Buick when the car made a U-turn onto Highway 136 in the path of a second eastbound vehicle.

Chad M. Whitney, 19, of Memphis was eastbound in a 1984 GMC truck when Moore’s vehicle pulled into his path and was struck.

Moore was taken by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital. She was cited for improper turn and no seatbelt.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department and the ambulance service.
