JEAN ANN GORDY
(7/23/1940 - 1/19/2003)



Jean Ann (Skip) Brownlee Gordy, 62, of Wyaconda passed away Sunday evening, January 19, 2003, at her home in Wyaconda.

The daughter of Laun and Helen (Heartsock) Brownlee, she was born on July 23, 1940, in Quincy, IL. On March 4, 1961, she was married to Bill Gordy. To this union three children were born: William David, Tammy, and Kevin.

Skip enjoyed life. Her children and grandchildren were a big part of her life. She loved to go fishing with her grandchildren.

Saturday evening races during which her children raced meant a lot to her. Skip was also an avid frog collector. She was of the Protestant faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Bill Gordy; one son, William David Gordy, who died in infancy; four sisters; and three brothers.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Webster and her husband Roger of Wyaconda, MO; her son, Kevin Gordy and his wife Ruth of Wyaconda, MO; seven grandchildren, Cody, Travis, and Kelley Webster of Wyaconda, MO, Olivia and Abigail Gordy of Burlington, IA, and Brittany Vickers and Philip Mason of Wyaconda, MO; one sister, Beverly and her husband Roger Brink of Warsaw, IL; two brothers, Jerome Brownlee and his wife Edna of Warsaw, IL, and Dick Brownlee and his wife Barbara of Olathe, KS; several nieces, nephews; and many family and friends.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. in the Gorin Cemetery, Gorin, MO, with Brother Mark Boley officiating. A scripture service was held Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the Gerth Funeral Chapel, Wyaconda, MO. Memorials have been suggested to the family. Gerth Funeral Service handled the arrangements from their Wyaconda chapel.
