MARY "VIVIAN" TULL
(6/12/1908 - 2/11/2003)



Mary "Vivian" Tull, 94, of Keokuk, IA, formerly of Rutledge, MO, died Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at River Hills Village in Keokuk.

She was born the daughter of Oscar James and Minnie M. (Lewis) King on June 12, 1908, in Ethel, MO.

Vivian married Archie Tull in 1930 at Montgomery City, MO. He preceded her in death in 1964.

For many years, Vivian was the cook at the Rutledge School. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, traveling, and eating out.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, JoAnn Cumalander; a grandson, Kevin Peterson; and a brother, Denzel King.

She is survived by her son, Bill Tull of Quincy; her three daughters: Marilyn and husband Richard Garman of Morris, IL, Marjorie and husband Herold Hamner of Kahoka, MO, and Shirley and husband Dick Stonehouse of Montrose, IA; a sister, Nelda Powell of Battleground, WA; a brother, James and wife Kathy King of Granite Pass, OR; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral Services were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2003, at the Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis. Minister Herold Hamner officiated. Serving as pallbearers were Rick Garman, Brad Peterson, John Thomas, Dick Stonehouse, Sandy Rakes, and Tiffany Rakes. Interment was in the Pauline Cemetery, Rutledge, MO. Memorials have been suggested to the Rutledge School Renovation Society and may be left at or mailed to Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main, Memphis, MO.

Arrangements were handled by Gerth Funeral Service from their Memphis chapel.
