Gregory Don Graber passed away January 30, 2003.

He was born on April 12, 1960 to the former Vada Faye Arnold and Donald Laverne Graber in Mt. Pleasant, IA.

On May 2, 1992, he married the former Anita Beth Goldschmidt Watson and they made their home in rural Antonia, MO. Abigail Faye Graber was born to this union.

He is survived by his wife, Anita; his daughters, Abby and Victoria Louise Graber; his sons, Tory M. Watson and Jacob T. Watson; mother of Mt. Pleasant, IA; brother, Jeff Graber and his wife, Laura and their children, Jordan, Cameron and Madison of Bartlett, IL; and grandfather, Clayton Arnold of Mt. Pleasant, IA.

His father preceded him in death as did his paternal grandparents, Glen and Marcella Graber and maternal grandmother, Edna Faye Arnold.

He was Godfather to Jordan, Cameron and Madison Graber; Zach and Elaina Mertens; and Brian Weiter. He was employed as a United States Probation Officer for the Southern District of Illinois since 1988, as well as a Crisis Intervention Counselor for Behavioral Health Response since 1998.

He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Columbia, IL, where he served on the Board of Worship and taught High School Sunday School. He was a 1978 high school graduate of Mt. Pleasant, IA, where he made his home until 1982. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Truman State University in 1982 and a Master's of Science Degree at the University of Missouri in St. Louis in 1986. He resided in the St. Louis, MO area since 1982.

Memorial services were held at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Columbia, IL, on February 3, 2003, and at the First United Methodist Church, Mt. Pleasant, IA, on February 22, 2003.

In fulfillment of Greg's wishes he was an organ donor and his remains were cremated. In lieu of flowers Greg requested a memorial be established for an educational trust fund for his daughter, Abby.
