GWENDOLYN LEE RIST
(4/10/1932 - 3/9/2003)




Gwendolyn Lee Rist, 70, a resident of Chillicothe, MO, passed away at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, MO, on March 9, 2003.

She was born on April 10, 1932, the daughter of Nellie Huggins in Des Moines, IA.

On January 14, 1972, at Chillicothe, MO, she married Jack Rist of Chillicothe, MO. He survives of the home.

Mrs. Rist was a surgical technician at the Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, MO for 32 years. She was a member of the Souls Harbor Church of Gorin in Chillicothe, MO. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and former member of the Chillicothe Campers Club. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling and camping.

Survivors also include her mother, Nellie Mastin and step-father, Jesse of Pamona, CA; seven children, Bill Cobb and wife, Teresia of Overland Park, KS, Joyce Constant and husband, Gary of Chillicothe, MO, Kathy Gardner and husband, Ron of Memphis, MO, Cookie Huckaby and husband, Gary of Utica, MO, Debra Johnson and husband, Butch of Chillicothe, MO, Bill Rist and wife, Lori of Chillicothe, MO, and Rose Kline of Utica, MO; one brother, Danny Mastin of Des Moines, IA; one sister, Judy Hill of Pamona, CA; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grand-children; and four nieces.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Rosemary.

Services will be at the Norman-Wagy-Gordon Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO, on Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Souls Harbor Church of God Building Fund, and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Norman-Wagy-Gordon Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
