WILHELM (BILL)FREDRICK WEST
(10/28/1935 - 4/9/2003)




Wilhelm Fredrick (Bill) West 67, died at his home north of Memphis, MO, on April 9, 2003.

The son of Ivan R. and Ida May (Seidler) West, he was born on October 28, 1935, at Taylor Ridge, IL.

He was married at Mount Moriah, MO on November 3, 1957, to Clara Marie Cochrane.

Mr. West was an ironworker by trade. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict when he served with United States Navy.

Surviving are his wife, Clara of 45 years; his son, Wilhelm F.C. West of Elk Grove Village, IL; three daughters, Deborah Hendricks of Elk Grove Village, IL, Denise LeBelle of Mission, KS, and Pamela West of Elk Grove Village, IL; seven granddaughters; two great-grandsons; two brothers; one sister; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held April 14, 2003, at the United Methodist Church in Downing, MO with Harold Marshall officiating. Pallbearers were Bill West, Gary Shoenbeck, Dennis Niklaus, Ian Finn, Deborah Hendricks, Denise LeBelle, Nicole Henricks and Britt Hendricks. Honorary pallbearers were Pamela West and Misch Niklaus. Burial was in the Abel Cemetery in Fremont, IA. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster and Downing, MO.
