JIMMIE (JIM)ALLEN MILLER
(5/22/1939 - 4/22/2003)




Jimmie (Jim) Allen Miller, 63, of Downing, MO, passed away April 22, 2003, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO.

The son of Boyd Olin and Leora May (Jackson) Miller, he was born May 22, 1939, in rural Downing, MO.

On August 17, 1958, he was united in marriage to Mary Kathryn Cook and to this union two sons, Ronnie and Randy, were born.

On July 10, 1965, he was married to Wilma Kay Gooding and to this union three children, Steven, Sharon and Donna were born.

On December 30, 1985 he was united in marriage to Kay Bulechek, who survives.

His parents; a sister, Joy; his wife, Mary Kathryn on December 9, 1964; his wife, Wilma Kay on January 17, 1985, also preceded him in death.

Jim is survived by his wife, Kay of Downing, MO; children, Ronnie Miller and wife, Kathy of Oskaloosa, IA, Randy Miller and wife, Rhonda of Downing, MO, Steven Miller and wife, Chantal of Downing, MO, Sharon Wheeler of Downing, MO, and Donna Durham and husband, John of LaPlata, MO, Melissa Roberts and husband, Matt of Lancaster, MO, Lisa Bulechek of Lancaster, MO, and Ashley Bulechek and wife, Lezlea Bulechek of Downing, MO; 22 grandchildren; one brother, Donnie Miller and wife, Hilma of Marceline, MO; nieces; nephews and many friends.

Jim was a carpenter and had worked for many families in the Downing, MO and surrounding areas. One of his most favorite hobbies was refinishing old furniture, which he would purchase at auctions.

He was a member of the Coffey Christian Church.

Jim was a quiet, kind and caring husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held April 26, 2003, at the Downing Christian Church, Downing, MO, with Larry Groom, pastor of the Queen City Baptist Church officiating. Music was provided by Danielle Bair, soloist and Joyce Groom, organist. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Drew Miller, Thomas Miller, Jesse Wheeler, Cale Brimer, Brandon Garrett, and Dakota Roberts. Memorials have been established for the family of Jim Miller. Burial was in the Coffey Cemetery south of Downing, MO. Norman Funeral Home of Downing, MO was in charge of arrangements.
