Richard John Kaldenberg, 66, of rural Iowa Falls, IA, died May 4, 2003, at his home.

He was born August 3, 1936, in Iowa City, IA, a son of Gerard Paul and Vera Mae Ward Kaldenberg.

He married Margaret Ann Clatt, August 6, 1961, in Hitt, MO.

Mr. Kaldenberg was a truck driver owning R&M Trucking, and he had also driven for Stokley Foods, Ackley, and Walt Lowry of Council Bluffs, IA.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry and Terry, both of Iowa Falls, IA; three daughters, Connie Richtsmeier and Anita (Steve) Eggleston, both of Iowa Falls, IA, and Lannette Dunn of Winthrop; seven grandchildren; and two brothers, Gerald of Hitt, MO and Willard of Eugene, OR.

Preceding him in death was a brother, Donald; and a sister-in-law, Alberta Kaldenberg.

Services were held May 7, 2003, at Linn's Funeral Home, Iowa Falls (IA) Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the family in care of his wife, Margaret Kaldenberg.
