BEULAH M. EDWARDS

Beulah M. Edwards, 88, of Wyaconda, MO, died May 27, 2003, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

She was born July 1, 1914, in Clark County, MO, a daughter of William and Della Dewitt Brown.

She married Raymond Glasgow and to this union four children were born. She later married Perry Kitson and to this union four children were born. He preceded her in death. She then married Wayne Edwards. He also preceded her in death.

She is survived by seven children, Richard Glasgow of Wyaconda, MO, Wilbur Glasgow of Ottumwa, IA, Mrs. Gerald (Margaret) Elder of Walnut Grove, MO, Mrs. Lyle (Nora) Ludwig of Canton, MO, Nina Doran of Canton, MO, Mrs. Mike (Noma) Genck of Canton, MO, and Harold Kitson of Springfield, MO; several grandchildren including Christina Adams of Wyaconda, MO, who she raised from the age six, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lois Philps, Elsie Myers and Fern Orback and nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Darlene Elder; four sisters, Eula Jean Brown, Evelyn M. Brown in infancy, Viola Aldridge and Opal Irvin and three brothers, W.L. Sam Brown, Raymond E. Brown, and Raymond R. Brown in infancy.

She had lived in Lewis and Clark County, MO most of her life. She was a member of the Rutledge Baptist Church. Beulah enjoyed making quilts, fishing and gardening.

Visitation will be held after 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2003 with family meeting friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 30, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gorin Cemetery, Gorin, MO with Reverend Ernest Deatrick officiating. Burial will be in the Gorin Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association. The Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO is in charge of arrangements.
